The Influence of Parental Roles with The Eclectic Homeschooling System on The Abilities of Children with ADHD
Abstract
Background: The analysis focused on the intersection of the Eclectic Homeschooling system and the developmental needs of children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Methods: This research employed a comprehensive literature review methodology, synthesizing data from peer-reviewed international journals, academic books, and legal documents to establish a robust theoretical framework. Results: The findings reveal that the eclectic model—as supported by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture Regulation No. 129 of 2014—provides a superior pedagogical environment for neurodivergent learners compared to rigid formal structures. This system allows for the synchronization of learning with the child’s "window of focus" through kinesthetic strategies and structured intervals like the Pomodoro Technique. International benchmarks indicate that such personalized home-based environments significantly reduce academic anxiety and leverage "hyperfocus" to maximize cognitive potential. Conclusion: This study contributes to the field of inclusive education by positioning parents as "Educational Architects" who manage both clinical-pedagogical interventions and academic instruction. It demonstrates that the synergy between adaptive parental roles and curriculum flexibility serves as a restorative educational path for children with ADHD.
